Since November 2006, Suzanne has been quite busy thanks to a major, multi-faceted project with Guiding Eyes for the Blind (GEB).

Working with the staff at GEB's Canine Devdelopment Center in Patterson NY, Suzanne's Relationship Centered Training approach is being incorporated into the Guiding Eyes puppy raising program.  

From birth to 16 months, the program is focused on making the most of the puppies' genetics through intensive socialization, early training (starting at 4 weeks!), and changes in the training approach to emphasize the relationship. Additionally, Suzanne has developed a new temperament assessment tool (CARAT), a new puppy test, a breeding stock test (BEC), and a relationship assessment tool (RAT).

These new tools are part of ongoing research with GEB, and promise to be valuable for any trainer or breeder.  Stay tuned!
