SHRIMP the "Miracle Donkey!"  Shrimp, a 25 year old donkey has been on System Saver since Dec 10, 2006 when she was close to dying at the Cornell Equine Hospital in spite of 3+ weeks of intense care and treatments.  By Dec 16, her appetite perked up and we no longer had to syringe food into her just to keep her alive.  She took a huge forward step with the addition of System Saver, and not quite a year later, she is healthy, happy and moving freely despite the laminitis, Cushing's disease and hoof problems that had plagued her last year. 

OTTER 13+ yr old F German Shepherd, dramatic improvement in range of motion, movement and social interactions. For about the past 18 months, Otter has been avoiding being bumped into or run over by the younger more active dogs, and often put herself in quiet corners or even in a crate to avoid problems. She had stopped getting into bed or on the couch.   Thanks to System Saver (the only new addition to her diet), she has now trots with a bounce in her step, with regular cantering and gallops for long distances such as from the house to the barn (150' or more).  Frankly, some days she's a pain in the butt, she feels so good!

EAGLE 24 yr old Rocky Mt. Horse gelding - Along with his partial blindness and arthritis in his hock (old injury), Eagle was rapidly having to struggle harder just to breathe due to COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, or "heaves").  In spite of strong medication, he was coughing and wheezing more and more, and we were thinking that it was nearly time to begin the intensive, expensive and only partially helpful treatments of steroids and inhalation therapy.  We were hoping that the System Saver would help with his arthritis, and hoped it might have some effect on his heaves, but WOW!  We did not expect what happened - which is such a change in him that he no longer takes the medication which was necessary every day, rarely coughs, and in fact, most people would not even recognize that he is a "heavey" horse. 

GRIZZLY 11+ yr old M German Shepherd - clearing of the inflammation around his eyes (cracking, swelling, weeping due to allergies). Dramatic increase in energy, flexibility and range of motion, playfulness, and clearing of his ears (chronic problems). Jumping on & off bed regularly with little effort, much more playful. PROFESSOR SPOT 5 year old Gloucestershire Old Spots cross pig -  "Spot" had been limping a bit as he is aging, and having had to put his sire to sleep in Dec '06, we were worried about any signs that Spot was having trouble getting around.  It's very hard to help a 650 lb. pig who can't get on his own feet.  So we added SS to Spot's daily meals, and he's comfortable, moving easily, and taking his usual daily strolls out in the pastures with his cattle friends. 

JESSE 4.5 yr old Golden F   Jesse has bi-lateral hip dysplasia, arthritic elbows and poorly structured knees.  She was put on system saver to 'see' if she might regain some mobility... Prior to using the product, she had stopped getting into bed with me at night and needed to be assisted into the car, she was also reluctant to play with me or my other dog when out in the yard, prefering to stand on the side and watch.  After three weeks on System Saver, Jesse started to offer these behaviors again and started to PLAY again in the yard.  She is still cautious  to over-do-it, but her movement is freer and she appears to be more comfortable and happier.  My girl is more playful than she has been in the last year and it is so nice to have my cuddle bud back in bed.   Lora D, NJ

SOPHIE 4 yr old Golden F Sophie has had a 'rash' of sorts on her muzzle for 6 months that went undiagnosed and treated in terms of management for close to 4 months.  The area was always 'wet' and raw looking, and she was always rubbing her muzzle into the ground or rug.  She licked at the area very often and often ended up with open lesions.  I started her on system saver and within 10 days the area of her muzzle that has looked yucky for so long is clear and normal.  Seriously... BAILEY and JACK Welsh Terriers  After a 6 to 8 week period,I saw a HUGE shift with my dogs, and the Rottie with bad hips. HUGE and all of a sudden. I almost asked myself "why would I want Bailey to act younger?" but I smile when I say that, because seeing her 12 year old self act like a goofball, jump over 5 foot above ground pools and swim like a nut, how do you ask for more? ORCA - Grey Wolf   Orca lives at Wolf Park, in Lafayette, Indiana. (For a complete chronicle of Orca’s life visit WOLF PARK and click on the “Orca Update” icon.)  He sustained a spinal cord injury in 1997. Due to superb, timely medical intervention and dedicated care of the wolf park staff, Orca not only survived his injury but was successfully rehabilitated. He regained his ability to walk, although his gait was weak and rather wobbly at times.

I learned about Orca in 2003. I am a licensed Occupational therapist, and my private practice provides treatment to individuals with chronic pain and neurologic challenges. I have been doing craniosacral therapy and myofascial release for 16 years. I have treated many thousands of individuals. When I heard about Orca, I knew that I had been “called” and had to offer to provide therapy for him. After much correspondence and some visits to the park, the veterinarian approved my meeting Orca in June 2003. 

The Wolf Park staff are willing to try most anything to improve the quality of life for animals in their care. They admitted to being skeptical about my ability to do anything for Orca, due in part due to the fact that he had been refusing treatment for about 6 months prior to his appointment with me, and in part due to the fact that they had never heard of what is it that I do. Fortunately, Orca likes the treatment that I do and began to respond. He responded quite well, showing a stronger, more coordinated gait and longer tolerance for activity. We were very encouraged. I came out to the park every few weeks to treat Orca.

Orca experienced a major set back in January of 2006. He had evidently reinjured himself, and was again not able to walk.  After some craniosacral intervention he was on the road to recovery and then got a cut on his leg followed by a stubborn infection. During this time he lost muscle mass in his back and hips. I was concerned when I saw him in August of 2006. He demonstrated significant muscle atrophy (wasting), and was having trouble healing from the infection. Thankfully, a change in antibiotics turned him around and he was healing. Due to challenges in my own life, I was not able to go to the park for several months. I next saw Orca in April of 2007. Orca tends to be happy to see me, but something seemed to be really different about him. He had generated new muscle and he let me work deeply in his muscles. You would have to personally know Orca to fully appreciate this last statement, but I will explain it this way. Orca has a reputation for being rather “reactive”. That can seem to be a redundant statement, talking about a wolf as “reactive”, but giving treatments to Orca required that I use great care to not upset him or work too hard or too fast. It could be dangerous for me! The staff said that they thought his shoulders were sore, as that is how he “walks” when his back end is not working. Much to my surprise he just let me work away, enjoying the deep tissue work and relaxing. His muscles that were tight, began to soften and relax and they felt very different to me. I was puzzled! What had happened to him?

Allow me to digress for a moment and explain some technical information. Inflammation starts in the body when there is an injury, infection or chronic tension. It is part of the body’s healing response. Inflammation can sometimes go unchecked, and that creates problems. Chronically inflamed tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments and so forth) begin to change. They become tight, fibrous and tough. Sometimes the bodies I touch feel like wood or strings! The fibers also stick together and can bind down on nerves and blood vessels. Treating this involves mobilizing the stuck places and giving them freedom to move as they should.

I commented to Pat Goodmann, the head research associate at Wolf Park, that Orca seemed different and that he was growing a lot of new muscle. Pat remarked that he had just started on a new supplement called “System Saver”. I was most impressed and happy! I was happy that my hands told me that there was something good going on with this wolf and it was validated after the fact about the System Saver. I knew it wasn’t my imagination or wishful thinking that a new product was working for him. I didn’t even know about it before I treated him. I saw Orca again in May and June of that year, and noted that he continued to grow stronger and had more muscle. He had regenerated muscle all the way down his back and hips. In addition to the new muscle, I noticed that the stuck places were easier to release and mobilize. It was amazing to me. I saw Orca in January of 2008 and am pleased to tell you that he is again trying to push himself up to standing and tries to walk. We don’t know if he will walk again, but it is clear that the System Saver made a huge difference in his ability to heal and recover from his last injury.

I have noticed similar results in both my human patients and the animal friends that I work on. The muscle atrophy gets reversed and the stuck sections of connective tissue get separated so that they can freely move again.
